Eastern Eventers is a local non-profit organization which promotes equestrian sports in the Cape Breton area. Since its inception in 2004, the group has grown in membership, has provided clinics and events to foster the development of young riders, and has established a successful show community in which to showcase their skills here in Cape Breton. The first riding facility in Ben Eoin, built in 2004 by the group, has attracted local and off island riders to many shows and events. Though that site has since been developed, Eastern Eventers has built a new facility which features a barn with forty stalls, two arenas, and a new cross country trail . It is now available for both local and national horse shows in all disciplines.
